Babel

This story is used to explain why the world has so many different languages. The essence of the story is that the people of Shinar decide to build a tower that would reach to heaven. They started this to glorify God but in the end they did it more to glorify themselves.

What I get from reading this passage is that we should glorify God and put Him first before ourselves.
With this is mind, how can we in Urban Junction, as a community glorify God and put him before ourselves?
And, how can we overcome the difficulties of communicating who God is, with other people?
