Luke 3
John prepares the way for Jesus throughout Luke 3, he spreads the good news and tells the crowd to repent and began baptizing them in the name of Jesus. People questioned if John was the Messiah because of his actions and the good news he was spreading; people need to see Jesus working in our lives, like they did with John. John was imprisoned because he was critical of Herod and his actions and he was foretelling of the arrival of one with unrivalled power, Jesus.
Challenge –
John was willing to go to such lengths as to be locked up for preaching about Jesus, are we willing to make similar sacrifices or are we too concerned about our reputation or people pleasing?
