One of the first verses that stuck in my head when I became a Christian and started to read the bible was Genesis 9:13 ”I have set my rainbow in the clouds,and it will be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth”.

God made a promise with the earth and all living creatures that he will never send a flood again and we can be reminded of this daily. This was one of the first promises of God I came across and it has stuck with me. Whenever I see a rainbow in the sky I always think back to Genesis and how God has kept his promise with the earth and has remained faithful till this day.

Just take a few minutes to reflect on the promises God has made for us. We know that his promise is to ultimately save us through Jesus and not to wipe us out again.
