David Blevins is leading our last Leadership Training Course session before the summer break entitled ‘Communication and Teaching’ this Sunday 19 June. David is Sky News’ Ireland Correspondent. He has reported from 10 different countries worldwide, has been nominated for an RTS Award for his coverage of the Omagh bombing (1998) and has won commendation from both sides of the political divide in Northern Ireland for his balanced and impartial journalism.
David reported the brokering of The Good Friday Agreement (1998), has interviewed President Bill Clinton (2003) and was commended by the Irish press for the “historical accuracy and political sensitivity” of his commentary on the Queen’s historic visit to Ireland (2011).
David has studied in the Irish Bible Institute and is an excellent communicator and teacher. David is an accomplished pianist and has actively volunteered in East Africa many times. He lives in County Armagh with his wife and three children and also enjoys reading, swimming and walking in his spare time
