Moving Over

Michael, Simon and I shared at Ignite recently that we feel it’s time to begin a process of moving on from our employed roles at Urban Junction/Ignite. While there’s no set date or specific time frame, it’s our intention to step aside in a way that ensures the best for this place and its future.

Our decision comes from a deep desire to see Urban Junction and Ignite continue to flourish and grow under God and new leadership. We’ve each been involved since the early days of bounce and feel it’s time to pass the baton on. We want to give opportunity for others to lead and to avoid becoming stagnant or too comfortable, in a way that we don’t rely on God as we should. We know that the three of us have strengths that have helped UJ to this point but believe there will be other leaders with gifts needed for the next chapter.

Community is at the heart of UJ and the relationships we have are so important to all of us. Change brings uncertainty as we look into the unknown, but we’re committed to seeking God’s wisdom together, trusting that collectively we’ll find the right paths to walk. Know that we still love UJ and believe in the great things God has and will continue to do through us.

All my love,

So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

(Isaiah 41:10)
