Day 45 – I Pity the Fool!!

Proverbs 16 – 18

When I first read these proverbs I didn’t understand them at all really, like some of them are really, really harsh! But, as I got reading them more, and with a lot of help from Michael, I got a bit of a better understanding of them. They seemed to talk a lot about fools in the passage today which made me think, what actually is a fool? Like, what does one have to do to be classed as a ‘fool’? Sure, aren’t we all fools in one way or another? It really makes you think, doesn’t it?

Saying this though, the main proverbs that stood out to me the most were ‘Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. The Lord works out everything to it proper end – even the wicked for a day of disaster.’ (16:3-4) This basically bring us back to Day 15 (you know, it was all about God having a path set out for you and even though you may not like it, everything happens for a reason) so yeah, there really isn’t that much more I can say about that without repeating myself, so just remember that if something does go bad, don’t worry cause all will reveal itself in the near future!

Saying that though, I do have a sort of question/challenge type thing for all of you!

Well, if you were writing a few “proverbs,” what would you say?

What wisdom have you gained from your experiences in life? Your relationship with God?
